Unfinished symphony

An unofficial Dream SMP fanzine: covering the whole of season one!

Our goal is to create a high quality graphic novel of the Dream SMP, created by fans for both fans and the original creators alike. We will be including both artists and writers!
Hopefully we'll even be able to send a physical copy to some of the original content creators as a thank you for building and bringing this amazing community together. We hope you will stick through and are as excited as we are to see the final result :)

Frequently asked questions

Is there a specific amount of people that will be accepted for the Zine?
expect 10-15 Illustrators, 20-25 Novel (comic) artists, 5 Writers and 5 Merch artists. These will be flexible and subject to change.

We reserve the right to invite more artists and/or writers than expected (as guests) should we not find the quality we want in the applicants.

As of the 7th March: we have 75+ total contributors

How are you going to deal with the issues CCs of being uncomfortable with their brand being sold outside of their control?
We want this zine to be a physical copy, therefore, once physical copies are made, profits will be donated (charity to be determined)

What size is the zine going to be?
The zine will be A4 (A3 when opened)

Will continuity of character designs be an issue?
We will have a list of items or objects that will be attributed to each character. Contributors will be strongly recommended to use that list but it is not necessary.
Eg. Tommy with his bandana.

Are visual artists able to use the pieces they make for the zine on their social media?
Do they keep the rights to the illustrations?
All contributors have full right over their piece. All we ask is that they do not share their piece until all zines have been shipped out/delivered.
The only exception to that are "Zine only" artists who will only be able to share their art 6 months after that.

To accommodate for every artists' style, will the novel work with a chapter for each artist?
We would rather artists do an even number of pages (Eg. 2, 4, 6, or 8) to make the style change when readers turn the page.

Will this zine go into future arcs after Wilbur's death?
No, however we will 100 percent consider doing SZN2, 3 and more anyone is interested in (TFTSMP, focused zines (non canon): Eg. Dream team only
or alternate endings: Eg. if POG2020 won the election).
We would also enjoy having different guests and contributors for those.
